Scott F. Gilbert (born 1949) is an American developmental biologist. Gilbert is Professor of Biology (emeritus) at Swarthmore College and a Professor at the University of Helsinki. In 1971 he obtained his B.A. in biology from Wesleyan University his PhD from the Johns Hopkins University in 1976.〔("Scott Gilbert" ).
